Contract (Commercial) Furniture Account Executive

We seek Account Executives (1099) to join our team! You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue in the sale of contract (commercial) furniture. You will sign a contract as an "independent" agent to represent GEFCO and its represented manufacturers within an assigned territory. Income is by commission and is limited only by the energy and dedication of the salesperson.

Experience in government sales, contract sales, and outside sales is preferrable.

Professionalism and a high sense of ethics and responsibility to both the company and the customer are critical expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Present and sell company products to new and existing customers

  • Prospect and contact potential customers

  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints

  • Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments

  • Create sales material to present to customers

  • Participate in company meetings/trainings

  • Develop quotes using Quickbooks

  • Manage each sale from inception to conclusion

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields

  • Ability to build rapport with clients

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Deadline and detail-oriented

Government & Educational Furnishings Company (GEFCO) purchased, and continues the business of, GEFE in December 2020. It is owned by a service-oriented LLC that believes in taking care of the customer. GEFCO provides product through contracted sales consultants in eastern Arizona, southern Colorado, west Texas, and all of New Mexico. It provides regular opportunities for learning and interaction with other staff.

GEFCO offers an incentive bonus for longevity, at the annual anniversary of the Account Executive's contractual association with GEFCO, of 5% of all commission earned by the Account Executive during the previous 12 months.
